Learn How To Publish/Print Your Book Using CreateSpace.com

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Books Printing At The PrinterDo you have a book you’d like to print or a book idea you’d like to turn into a printed book one day? How would you like your book published on Amazon.com and over 10,000 other online book retailers at virtually no cost to you? You can do all that and much more with CreateSpace.com.

I’ve been using CreateSpace for over five years (and counting), and I can tell you, I have only good things to say about them. What do I like about them? For starters …

  • They offer very fair and competitive royalties for Amazon and expanded distribution sales through third-party online bookstore retailers.
  • They offer 24/7/365 telephone support. Call, they answer, they help, you’re happy.
  • You can submit an unlimited number of manuscript copies (with revisions and changes) to print an unlimited number of book proofs and still only be charged “cost” to print your book. Just pay for shipping and your proofs are on their way to you again and again.
  • You can digitally review your book online with their digital-proof system in order to fix every error (you can fix) before submitting your files for review. This is a huge time-saver, believe me.
  • Option to submit your book to Amazon or not, as well as libraries and third party online bookstore retailers like B&N and other popular online bookstores.
  • Can order/print only 1 book if you want. No minimum order. No quantity breaks either for large orders, though.
  • Free ISBN#’s if you don’t have your own and don’t want to pay for it.
  • Can drop ship books to anyone, anywhere in the world. Perfect if you take orders online through your website.
  • Royalty commissions are paid off Amazon (and other sales) and sent to you via check or direct bank deposit when you reach a certain dollar amount.

… among many other benefits! CreateSpace does it for me. I moved all my books there and my clients’ too. We haven’t looked back.

Who should take this course?

  • Authors, speakers, coaches, consultants, experts, teachers, trainers, and info-marketers who want to create a book product out of their knowledge for sale or lead generation. (NOTE: Not that you might be the one who designs your book covers or interior, but it’s important that you know how CreateSpace works so you’re no in the dark when you hand our book idea off to someone to help you.)
  • Anyone interested in writing a fiction/non-fiction book on any subject, biography, autobiography or memoir and wants to work with a user-friendly printer/publisher at affordable costs.
  • Graphic designers, cover designers, virtual assistants, webmasters and other freelancers who might work with clients who want to self-publish a book. If you know how to use CreateSpace like I do, you can earn extra money providing such book publishing services to your clients.

If the above describes you, then by all means, take this course. This knowledge awaits you.

1.0 — STARTER VIDEOS

These first four videos are essential to you getting truly acquainted with CreateSpace.com. For example, why should you use CreateSpace? Well, check out how much it costs (i.e., so little) to buy your own books, and compare that with your royalties for each book sale (i.e., quite nice).

1.1 — Create Your CreateSpace Account To Publish, Distribute, Print & Fulfill Your Books FREE
1.2 — How Much Does It Cost To Buy Copies Of Your Own Book From CreateSpace?  FREE
1.3 — How Much Money Do You Make In Royalties Publishing Through CreateSpace?  FREE
1.4 — Why Are Royalties So Low When Selling Your Books Through CreateSpace?  FREE

2.0 — ADD A BOOK TITLE TO YOUR ACCOUNT

You don’t actually have to have your book files ready to upload into CreateSpace to add a book title to your account. In fact, I often times add the book title way before I even have the book written. If anything, this process gets  me the (CreateSpace issued) ISBN# (if you choose CreateSpace to issue you a FREE ISBN#) for inclusion inside my book, which I need as I lay the book out in InDesign. Either way, get familiar with these steps. They’re a must-do for each book title you add to your account.

2.1 — Adding A New Book Title To Your CreateSpace Account (Part 1: “Add The Title”)
2.2 — Adding A New Book Title To Your CreateSpace Account (Part 2: “Assign ISBN”)
2.3 — Adding A New Book Title To Your CreateSpace Account (Part 3: “Interior Settings”)
2.4 — Adding A New Book Title To Your CreateSpace Account (Part 4: “Cover Settings”)

3.0 — TAX & ROYALTY EARNINGS

This section is a must-do activity before CreateSpace will really let you do anything else inside your account. They want to be sure they collect your tax information so they can report any earnings you make with the IRS.

3.1 — Submit Your Tax Info To CreateSpace To Report Royalty Earnings (Required)

4.0 — SALES CHANNELS

Here’s where CreateSpace can help you sell your book. (i.e., Amazon.com, your own CreateSpace store, Libraries, and thousands of other third party bookstore retailers through their Expanded Distribution option.)

4.1 — Let’s Review Your Book Title “Sales Channels” Even Though Your Book Is “Incomplete”

5.0 — MESSAGES EXPLAINED

When you submit your book files for review, you will see these messages on the home page of your CreateSpace account for your book titles.

5.1 — Book Title Messages Explained: What Does “Incomplete” Mean?
5.2 — Book Title Messages Explained: What Does “Awaiting Proof Order” Mean?
5.3 — Book Title Messages Explained: What Does “In Process” Mean?

6.0 — BOOK TITLE, PRICING, DESCRIPTION, CATEGORIES & KEYWORDS

After you add your book title, you’ll want to customize these sections of your book during the book title setup process. You’ll do this for every book title you add to your CreateSpace account.

6.1 — Add/Edit The Description, Category & Keywords For Your Book Title In CreateSpace
6.2 — Add/Edit Pricing For Your Book Title In CreateSpace

7.0 — UPLOADING/DOWNLOADING INTERIOR & COVER FILES

8.0 — SUBMIT YOUR BOOK FILES FOR REVIEW

After you prepare your book files for upload into CreateSpace, here’s how you submit them and then approve them (digitally) once you get the okay that your files are approved by CreateSpace’s tech department. This process usually takes 24 hours.

8.1 — Submit Your Book Files To CreateSpace For Review & Approval To Print & Sell
8.2 — Digitally Approve A Proof & Order Proof Copies For Proofing Your Book In-Hand

9.0 — PROJECT HOME PAGE OVERVIEW

This is a great video to watch after you’ve added your book title and you’ve gone through many of the steps required to get your book files submitted to CreateSpace, let alone approved for printing. Here’s what the home page for a book title looks like. This is good information to know.

9.1 — Overview Of A Project Homepage For A Completed Book Title In CreateSpace

10.0 — ORDER BOOKS & VIEW PURCHASES

When it’s all said and done, and you’re ready to start selling books and sending them out to others, let alone yourself, here’s how to order your own books and how to track them after you purchase them.

10.1 — Order Books For Yourself & Others Through Your CreateSpace Account  FREE
10.2 — View Your CreateSpace Purchases & Get Tracking #’s For Your Book Orders  FREE

11.0 — LINKING TO AMAZON & BOOK DOMAIN NAMES

These video tutorials will help you link a domain name (in the name of your book title) to your CreateSpace and/or Amazon store page where your book is sold. It’s easier sometimes to just give people a domain name, than rattle off some long Amazon web address.

11.1 — Link Your Amazon & Other Online Bookstore Sales Pages To Your Website For Fulfillment
11.2 — Buy A Domain For Your Book Title So You Can Build A Website To Promote Your Book
11.3 — Redirect A Domain Name For Your Book To Your Amazon.com or CreateSpace Sales Page

12.2 — View Royalties Due For Book Sales & Getting Paid From CreateSpace

13.0 — HELP & SUPPORT

When you need help with your CreateSpace account, here’s how I prefer to get a hold of their customer support team … via phone! Here’s how to reach CreateSpace over the telephone.

13.1 — Calling CreateSpace Customer Support via Telephone When You Need Help

As I said above in the COURSE DESCRIPTION area, I’ve been using CreateSpace.com for over five years for all my book publishing, printing and distribution needs. I can’t be happier.

Having written and self-published over 12 books for my self, with more on the way, I turn to CreateSpace in a flash when I have a new book idea.

I also encourage my clients to use CreateSpace too for their book publishing and printing needs. I encourage them to sign up for their own account, then we populate it with all their book titles, and then we’re off to the races.

I really hope you get a lot out of the above video tutorial series on using CreateSpace.com. Let me know what you think by sending me a comment.
