What Kind Of Audio Mixing Software Do You Need To Mix Audio?

What kinds of audio mixing software do you need to mix audio after you’ve recorded it? There are two programs that come to mind quickly:

RECOMMENDATION #1 ($60-ish)

MixPad Multitrack Recording Software

MixPad Audio Mixing Software
Avg. Price $59.95 on NCH.com.au

RECOMMENDATION #2 (FREE)

Audacity Audio Recording, Mixing & Editing Software

Audacity Audio Recording, Mixing & Editing Software
FREE (PC & MAC)

Either program will serve you well, although, I do have this to say:

  1. I prefer MixPad over Audacity because of how easy the tracks are laid out, function and allows you to get the job done quickly and without mess.
  2. Adacity does mix well too. I just find their system dashboard layout to be a little too much, per se, when trying to mix with it. I have done so successfully in the past, just, I prefer MixPad.
